To Play Or Not To Play

To Play Or Not To Play by Warner Bros Studios

In this unforgettable scene from Space Jam, Bugs Bunny channels his theatrical side, playfully referencing Shakespeare's iconic Hamlet Soliloquy - "to be or not to be" as he tries to convince basketball legend Michael Jordan to join the Toon Squad for the ultimate showdown on the court.

Looney Turns Art Collection

  • Hand-painted Cel
  • Edition Size: 500
  • Image Size: 10.25" x 16"
  • Certificate of Authenticity

Key Notes

This cel began with a master inking of Bugs Bunny (from the animation drawings) was silkscreened onto an acetate sheet (or cel). Each cel was then meticulously hand-inked and hand-painted on the reverse side to capture the 3-D shadow effect created by computer modeling for the film. Through modern technology, the digital background was composed with the image of Michael Jordan, taken directly from the movie, and was reproduced using the lithography process. Each cel was silkscreened with the Warner Bros. Animation Art Seal.
